SUCCESS Lab

SUCCESS Lab

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Welcome to SUCCESS Lab

SUCCESS Lab, directed by Dr. Guofei Gu in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University, conducts research in network and systems security. We combine systems and networking, program analysis, artificial intelligence, and security measurement to address fundamental and practical cybersecurity challenges.

Our mission is to make computing and networking more secure. We pursue this mission by making cybersecurity intelligent, programmable, and ubiquitous.

Intelligent Security

AI for Cybersecurity and Security for AI

We harness AI to advance vulnerability discovery, security analysis, and automated defense, while securing increasingly capable AI systems and agents.

  • Agentic AI security
  • AI-powered cyber defense
  • Trustworthy AI systems

Programmable Security

Next-Generation Networks and Systems

We build programmable security mechanisms that turn network and system infrastructure into adaptable defense platforms.

  • SDN and programmable data planes
  • Programmable zero trust
  • Cloud, edge, and NextG security

Ubiquitous Security

Pervasive and Emerging Computing Ecosystems

We uncover and mitigate security risks as computing spreads across devices, applications, platforms, and digital ecosystems.

  • Mobile and IoT
  • Web and Web3
  • Emerging application platforms
